Occupational & Physical Therapy Services

Occupational Therapy:

The Occupational Therapy Program at St. Francis de Sales serves children who exhibit deficits in areas of neuromuscular function, gross and fine motor development, perceptual motor development, sensory integrative functions, orthopedic conditions and self-help skills arising from these deficits.

Physical Therapy:

The Physical Therapy Program provides a variety of therapeutic exercises to improve and enhance normal motor development; to prevent joint contractors and deformities; to improve general muscle strength, coordination and balance; and to improve body posture and alignment.

The primary and end goal of these measures is to assist each child in acquiring the functional skills that will enable him/her to operate within his/her environs for an optimal level (approximate and specific for each child).
